My daughter graduated this year from I.s.2, I have complaint before about the school but never received a follow up. At this point I am not concerned about my child seeing she is going into high school. This school has a odd way of dealing with parents as well as the students. They also handle bullying very calmly as if it is not a problem. They allowed bullying to continue and did nothing to control the students. My daughter has come home crying. She has also come home complaining that the teachers have cursed and smelled of alcohol. All my complaints went unheard and unanswered for 3 years. They are rude and it is impossible to get any answers from them. I am happy that my child will no longer have to deal with this school. The board of education really needs to investigate I.s.2 and get more involved to attempt to make it a better school. I would advise parents to not send their children to this school. Staten Island has good middle schools, but this is not one of them.
